The only way to be absolutely certain is to check the internal temperature of the meat to determine if it is done by using a meat thermometer. Smaller thinner chops may cook for a shorter time, and thicker and/or larger ones may need an extra minute or two. If yours are different from that, you may need to adjust your cook time accordingly. These chops are boneless, about an inch thick and right around 4 ounces in weight. Since these cook so quickly, it would be easy to overcook them. You do want to pay close attention to your pork chop size, though. The texture and juiciness factors are both ten out of ten, y’all. I knew I needed a great air fryer pork chop recipe for the blog, and today, that is exactly what you get. The cooking is quite similar to a grill too, since the air fryer cooks food quickly, usually at high-ish temperatures. It is also great to pretty much anything you would also make on a grill: hamburgers, chicken, fish, kebabs and more! (Side note: check out my entire air fryer recipe collection here.) If you haven’t yet caught on, your air fryer is not just made for breaded things, friends. They’re perfect for weeknight dinners, with a couple of simple sides. Then increase the cooking time by approximately 20 minutes per pound and always be sure to check the internal temperature.Air fryer pork chops are a quick, juicy and flavorful main dish that you can make in 20 minutes. If it’s above a 5-6qt air fryer, you can fit larger roasts. If you have a larger sized air fryer, use your judgement if its fits well. We definitely don’t want too tight of a fit and we don’t want the meat too close to the heating element. Once a pork loin roast gets above 2.5lbs, it really depends on how well it fits into your air fryer. It will actually continue to cook and the internal temp will rise several degrees. Cover it loosely with foil and let it rest for at least 5 minutes. Now it’s time to gently remove the roast from the air fryer and let it rest on a plate. If it’s not yet 140°, let it continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes. I say 140° because the roast will continue to cook when you take it out of the air fryer. Use an instant read thermometer and check for an internal temperature of at least 140°. We want an internal temperature of 145°-160°(F). Set it to air fry for 360°(F) for 45 minutes. Then place the roast inside the air fryer with the fat cap side up. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 360°(F). With our pork loin roast all rubbed up with seasoning, it’s time to cook. Any remaining rub, you can reserve to make a quick gravy. You can use almost all of it on your pork roast. This will give us about 3.5 tablespoons of rub. The seasonings include brown sugar, ground mustard, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Just a few simple ingredients are used to create the perfect rub for our pork loin roast. It’s an awesome and simple dish that is perfect for a family dinner. A pork loin roast is what boneless pork chops are cut from. Pork tenderloin is a wonderful cut of meat, but it’s considerably smaller than a pork loin roast and requires different temp and times. You’ll want to make sure the package says pork loin roast and not pork tenderloin. This is the perfect size for most 5-6qt air fryers. We’ll start with a good top loin pork roast of about 2 – 2.5lbs. And it’s the absolute perfect appliance for making an amazing pork loin roast. The more I use my air fryer, the more I love it! It’s one of the best kitchen appliances i’ve ever owned. It’s as easy and applying the rub and letting your air fryer do it’s magic. With just a few simple seasonings, you can make the most amazing, mouthwatering air fryer pork loin roast in about an hour.
